I brought a Sony VGN 320 in...


I brought a Sony VGN 320 in April 2007 and it has developed a spider crack on the LCD screen. The Sony reps want 700 to fix a 840 dollar machine! The computer was used for light casual work and ALWAYS treated well. The rep said something may have been placed on top of the case there by causing the damage. The computer is only used by a middle aged male and when it is not in use is ALWAYS placed in a padded computer bag. The Sony reps said its accidental damage so not covered on the one warranty. First and last SONY they dont stick behind their product line.
I would suggest looking at other computer companies! Typing on a GATEWAY!!

I bought a brand new SONY Bluray DVD Player BDV E770W from an online store and was received on December 3, 2010. I immediately set it up but the HD never worked. After contacting technical support, they advised me to ship it to the repair facility in Laredo TX. The repair facility received it on December 13, 2010 and from the information update online, I was told it will take 10 business days to complete repairs. I called back December 30 (more than 12 business days) to get an update and was told that they ordered a spare part from another location and will have a status report on its availability in about a week. Now I don't even know when I will get my system back. When I called customer service to escalate to higher management, I was told I had reached the last layer of escalation.
IF YOU LOVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY, THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU BUY A SONY PRODUCT. YOU MAY REGRET IT!!! From the forum reviews I have seen since I started looking today, I can see that SONY PRODUCT QUALITY HAS GONE SOUTH.
